Beautiful Rainbow (these are fairly common) over Clear Lake as seen from Riviera West:
Riviera West, overlooking the western shores of Clear Lake (California’s largest natural lake) from a 2000 foot elevation on Mount Konocti, is a 500-parcel community of unique homes and open space, unparalleled in location, beauty, serenity, clean air and destination-resort ambiance. Riviera West is located well within 3 hours of most of the major attractions of the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California Wine Country.
Riviera West offers its members the amenities of a heated Swimming Pool (open near Memorial Day and closed after Labor Day); an expansive and accommodating Clubhouse, with magnificent views and comfortable, well-maintained grounds; a waterside park, with grass-covered play and picnic areas; a docked-in Marina beach for family swimming and tie-ups; and a private launch ramp for community boaters.
Originally developed in the late 1960's by Leisure Properties, Inc. as a model of Country Club living, Riviera West has been gradually built out to its current (about 250) custom homes. As a “Community Interest Development”, building guidelines incorporated into the community’s by-laws insure that all member properties enjoy the benefits of the value-protecting views and neighborhood standards, envisioned by the original developers.
Riviera-West is served by its own Harbor View Mutual Water Company, a separate non-profit corporation. Both of these corporations are overseen by their respective elected Boards of Directors and serviced by several active volunteer Committees.

New Water Treatment Plant News:
Fellow Property Owners,
I have some Bad News: The old water treatment plant that served us faithfully for 20 years is no longer functioning. The last day the plant operated was Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
Now the Good News: Thursday morning, April 16, 2015, the new water treatment plant came on line and is making clean water! It has been a long and arduous road, but we have the new water plant the State has been trying to get us for over ten years. There is still a lot of construction work to go, but the end is in sight. Okay, that is really good news....
Please see Below for The Water Conservation Notice for Riviera West.

Water Conservation Notice
To All Riviera West Property Owners:
We strongly urge all customers to conserve water until further notice.
Critically low water table levels and low lake levels are threatening the water systems statewide. For the second year in a row, the State has implemented emergency drought regulations requiring public water supplies implement water conservation regulations.
Harbor View MWC implemented the following requirements in September 2014. These requirements meet the State requirements and are still applicable.
Using water wisely helps protect your water system, especially during these periods of short supply. When you use water outdoors, use a spray nozzle which regulates flow and shuts off when not needed.
It is always important to conserve water and care should be taken to prevent any unnecessary use. Please consider installing Low-Flow devices on all of your in-home faucets and showers, and installing Low Flow/Flush toilets. Installing drought resistant landscaping and drip irrigations systems also save water. Water conservation is important and saves you money.
Should you have any questions about water conservation or low flow devices, please contact our administrative office at 707-279-8544.
